You Asked, She Answered
Last week we opened up the floor for you to ask beauty expert Gina Brooke your makeup questions and dilemmas.  Check out her answers below.
Q:  What is the best way to apply/choose mascara when you have uneven lashes?
A: Urban Decay’s Subversion Lash Primer’s light, creamy formula is extremely conditioning to your lashes and contains protective panthenol and conditioning vitamin E. Priming with Subversion adds weight to your lashes and gives your mascara something to grab on to.  Apply the Subversion brush to coat your lashes from the root to tip—to help make them amazingly thicker, longer and stronger.
Perversion Mascara contains triple black pigments for bigger, blacker, badder lashes in just one or two layers.  After sweeping on Subversion, apply Perversion to the tips of the shorter lashes to support the lashes and provide the illusion of making them appear fuller and elongate.  Then apply Perversion to both upper and lower lashes.  I recommend this mascara because it has the perfect texture that allows just the right amount of “pull” so it glides through lashes. Not only is it foolproof, but it’s also formulated with a nourishing blend that stimulates lash growth.
Q:  What kind of foundation should I use if I have oily skin?

A:  To provide a barrier between your skins oils and your makeup, I highly recommend using a primer. For a soft, matte finish without the greasy feel, prime your face using Urban Decay’s Complexion Primer Potion. I rely on this product for clients who have oily skin for everyday makeup as well as red carpet events and music videos. I also rely on using Urban Decay’s oil-free Naked Skin Weightless Ultra Definition Liquid Makeup. It uses light-diffusing spheres to ‘blur’ imperfections for a luminous, demi-matte finish that feels invisible, but looks professionally retouched. You may need to use an oil-absorbing powder to set your makeup and to provide a matte finish to your skin.
Q:  What are your favorite tips for achieving the perfect cat-eye look using liquid liner?
A:  Urban Decay has many shades of liquid liner, but my favorite is Ink for Eyes Waterproof Precision Eye Pen.  Ink for Eyes is waterproof and beyond precise, so the fine-tipped pen creates glossy, sharply-defined lines that last all day.
Begin by placing your finger gently at the outer corner of the eye as you apply the liner to the inner corner of the eye. This will provide a more precise application.  Then apply the line as close as you can to your lash line from the inner to the outer corner. Define the desired wing by drawing a line from the bottom of the outer corner of the eye out in an upward direction toward the tip of your brow.
Beginning at about 2 centimeters into the outer corner of the eye, extend the line desired to connect to the outer line previously drawn. Then color in-between the two lines for the perfect feline wing.
